Inspiration for this painting came from a photograph. We keep trying to find an actual moose on our treks near Grand Marais, MN but have been unsuccessful so far. I might be a tad bit obsessed.
Ever since moving to Mason, WI, I’ve been determined to see a moose. I know they are around this area near Lake Superior. I will find one and I will paint it. Until then, photographs will have to suffice.
